About the Book
In this book, I have made clear that by making small adjustments and modifications to lessons, teachers can make a great change in student outcomes. By being aware of and using the four learning models, habits of mind and the four learning spaces, the student and the teacher will benefit.
In addition to the awareness and use of knowledge of information in this book, teachers must continually research and search on a consistent basis new ways to make learning meaningful. To be effective, teachers must have as many tools as possible in their tool chest. If teachers have these tools available, the result is the creation of lessons that will fit the circumstances at hand.
The teacher will provide an environment that will be custom fit for a particular class, group of students or event. The teacher and students will have a well tailored lesson plan for that particular situation. Therefore; within that particular context and learning environment, the teacher will be able to address the needs of the students and foster efficient on task learning for the group intended. The result of this awareness of the various learning tools and knowledge will result in "working smarter, not harder."
