About the Author
Jim Allen is the author of Sleep Close to the Fire (Trailhead Press 1997) and Up in Smoke (Trailhead Press 2001). Jim taught wilderness survival classes from 1989 to 1999. Hunter, trapper, outdoors sports enthusiast, Jim resides in Elkhart, Indiana with his wife Kathy and two daughters.
