A Rough Sketch: I see you. I blinked.* I saw you. Although there are many different forms of poetry, from long line to rhyme to syllabic in this book, I think this Haiku sums up the most of the poems as in to what they are about. What one does/what we (people) do (I see you)... Our ways of time (blinked)... and a look into the question: what is our past, and will it come to mean anything?(I saw you). There are way more questions than answers, some of them personal, some about the author's inane concept of how it should be, and many, many other subjects and forms. It is, in that way, somewhat of a journal... in another way it is a book of poetry from a young (27, young, right)? man who always had a thing for poetry who really loves to write it. Another Haiku inside that fits the description A gibbering echo - a laughter. Forever? Try again later. Fire. A fire. Let us make a fire, And extinguish it - Never. Too many syllables, but noteworthy.

About the Book
The poetry in this book was written in the transition to better weather, and Spring to Fall 2007 season. Much of it has been well-received in the poet’s college, where he hopes he will gain the skills of a Professor. Feiling writes on the subject which is his Life. From his feelings on the state of the world, to tributes to his musical and literary heroes, to his all too brief, (and all too subtle) spiritual practice.
About the Author
Geoffrey Feiling has been reading and writing poetry for as long as he can remember. He is more influenced by his favorite poets and writers than the average 27 year old. He loves Ginsberg, Poe, Rimbaud, and has a semi-connected feeling to the poet and story writer that died in 2005, Robert Creeley. He very much tries to make a style of his own, but he knows very well that in much of his work, there is the definite influence of this man. Geoffrey was hit by a car in his Pittsburgh town in 1997, and suffered a traumatic head injury. He was very lucky to have survived, let alone put out a few books of poetry, let alone attend college where he hopes to become a Literature Professor. Geoff still lives in Pittsburgh. He also loves the Carolinas, Philadelphia, and NYC. Music is his second passion, as well as many different kinds of books and films.
