Domingo Liotta, cardiac surgeon and dean of the School of Medicine at the University of MoRón, is reputed as a pioneer in treating advanced heart failure patients by creating and clinically employing Left Ventricular Assist Systems at Baylor University in Houston with Dr Michael E. DeBakey and the Artificial Heart at the Texas Heart Institute with Dr Denton A. Cooley. Liotta dedication on the study of fairly complete old cultures, the melding of science and humanities, is unique. During 30 years, he indefatigably devoted to training surgeons, namely in China soil.
