Meetings are a way of life in our country. Companies, associations, government agencies, and non-profit groups hold them. The defining nature of a meeting is more than merely a gathering of people within four walls.

The meeting environment is a living system in which the design of spaces will affect an individual throughout a program-positively or negatively. From the frenetic, action-oriented world of business, now a transformation is necessary for the participant in a meeting. The new mindset is a more passive one.

The chapters in this book are designed to stimulate the thinking of anyone involved in any aspect of meeting conception, organization, development and execution to achieve greater meeting productivity and participant satisfaction.

About the Author

Coleman Lee Finkel is president of The Coleman Center, a unique meeting facility for small groups (under 150 attendees, typically 10?50). Honors bestowed upon him include MPI?s Buzz Bartow Award, ASTD?s Torch award, and Rutgers University?s Kilmer Oak award. He is the only person to receive these multiple honors.
