About the Book

I started writing poetry in middle school; it seems so long ago now that my first poem was written. But the fascination and the joy have never diminished. Family and Friends, Identity, Life, Love, Heartbreak, and Fantasy aspects of everyday life, something that draws us in and holds us close. Dreams and hopes, fears and pain, each is a part of us and each of these poems tries to capture those fleeting emotions, tries to hold them close and express them in ways that everyone can see.

I aim for your heart, your mind, and your dreams. See what I see, feel what I feel; let your heart open up. Isn't that what poetry is all about in any case? Being able to be free of the confines of structure, being able to say what you feel even if it doesn't make sense?
