About the Book

The Fields Abound is a volume of Eastern-style poetry containing 300 poems that seek to understand life as a journey in search of enlightenment. This approach entails combining spiritual and secular themes that celebrate the beauty of the world in poems about love, lyrical parables, humor, verse about everyday life and subjects that symbolize deeper concerns with wisdom, morality, metaphysics and the quest for self-harmony and transcendence. The reader is placed on the path of inward meditation and taken on a reflective quest beyond self-understanding to a realm of all-encompassing unity and spiritual release.

About the Author

Arman Nabatiyan was born in Tehran, Iran. His style of writing reflects a spiritual approach derived from the Persian tradition nearly a millennium old. He currently lives in Chicago where he writes and continues to work as a biologist at Northwestern University. His previous books include Poems: Love and Yore, The Hours of Youth and The Flowers of Albion.
