About the Book

Lady Knight is a medieval adventure crammed with action, emotion, and the atmosphere of Old England.

Roguishly handsome and almost as reckless, Sir Matthew Cameron of the King's Royal Guard blunders upon a raven-haired warrior named Pet who instantly captivates him with her fierce sense of justice. Consumed with revenge against the renegades who murdered her entire family, her cold indifference to Matthew intrigues him. Not accustomed to rejection, he vows to make her his own at any cost--even to her.

With her help he defeats the gang and turns his bold advances on her. His rash shenanigans only prove to push her further away. He is relentless, however, and she softens--just enough to make him want more.

When a staggering opportunity presents itself, Matthew seizes it and forces the beautiful Pet to marry him against her wishes. He realizes too late his selfish act, threatening to alienate him from his family and do the one thing he never sought--emotionally destroy his wife. Only he can renew her crushed spirit, by bringing her home to his family castle and confessing his bond of love for the brave, courageous girl he desperately cherishes.

About the Author

Evangelynn (Evi) Stratton (b.1950 d.2011) had a varied and rewarding career as a professional songwriter/musician and minor recording artist. Writing, however, had always been her passion. She started writing and illustrating children's stories for her daughter in the 1970's, and became somewhat of a local celebrity as her daughter shared them with her classmates. A history buff and founder of the local Canterbury Literary Society, the medieval era has always held a fascination for Evi. "I like to incorporate factual events in my books," she once said, "it gives the stories a sense of reality, and the reader actually learns history." Before losing her battle to brain cancer in April of 2011, she completed four historical works: the hilarious RHIANNON and the more serious LADY trilogy, LADY KNIGHT, LADY SEER, and LADY BLUE. She also wrote VAIN WISH, a modern tale of spiritual warfare.
