This pocket reference covers all the commands and functions in the dBASE IV 2.0 programming language. Each entry includes an explanantion of the syntax with an example illustrating its usage. In addition, cross-references are made to related commands and functions. The alphabetic arrangement ensures quick access to every entry. The introduction groups the major commands by topic for a quick overall reference to the various types, such as manipulating database files, locating data or creating reports. Four appendices provide information about installing and configuring dBASE IV, using the dBASE compiler and lists of file name extensions and dBASE specifications.

About the Author

Virginia Andersen is the author of several computer reference books and student tutorials on subjects including Word, WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3 and two scientific dictionaries. She has a double Masters in Systems Management and Computer Science from the University of Southern California. She currently resides in Coronado, CA.
