About the Book

John Woodward is a young, dynamic, revivalist minister. He finds himself on the last leg of his summer tour, winding up the revivals in a small midwestern town. The first night of this last revival of the season brings him into contact with a girl. She invites him to come to her church and discuss his faith, ideas, and the Bible. What comes next leads John, and the reader, through an experience that is two thousand years old. What begins as a simple discussion of faith uncovers layers of religious ideas that John (and most of us) have lived with all of our lives. The girl (Sharon) sits in her garden and teaches John the meaning of life, and it is not what he expects it to be. Over the next five days John begins to unravel the mystery of the ages. He spends the rest of his life in this understanding. The young lady goes away after the revival, and John spends his life in solitude, serving, not being served.

Sharon is not your typical "religious" book. You will find things in it that will frankly surprise you. If you are looking for "raptures" or "second comings" you will not find them here. The authors are married. Sharon was written during Pamela's bout with cancer. This is their first book.
