About the Author

Anna Allison Peck was born in Wells, Kansas, in 1915 and moved away in 1945, spending more than forty years on Colorado. Her three children grew up there. She came back to Kansas in 1988 because, through all those years, she always referred to anywhere in Kansas as 'back home'. In an effort to explain to her children why Colorado could never be 'home', she has compiled these nostalgic stories of her first thirty years.
