About the Book

Lacy lost everything the night her parent's were killed. She lost her home, her hopes and her dreams. She even lost her identity until she became an adult, and claimed it back. Now, the only thing she had room for in her heart was anger and bitterness for the men who destroyed her life, and the last thing she needed was to allow love to complicate that plan.

After one woman's betrayal, Jeff swore he would never trust again. Then he met Lacy. All of a sudden, his thirteen year old niece had someone to turn too for things she needed a mother around for. Lacy wasn't afraid of his son, and actually understood his jokes. Even his dog liked her. Maybe he needed to find out why and he needed to do it before she leaves, and possibly lose the only opportunity for his heart to love again.

About the Author

The author lives in Indiana with her husband and three children. After eight years in the Navy, now, as a writer, she gets to do anything she wants to do, be anything she wants to be, and go anywhere she wants to go, without ever leaving her desk.
