About the Book
Christine Williams, a reporter for the last eight months at Channel 10 News KMTJ in Seattle, has been begging her boss, Bob Bonds, for more challenging assignments. She’s surprised when Bob sends her to the southern coast of Washington to interview Dr. Joel Sullivan, a renowned, but reclusive, naturalist and marine biologist. It will be a challenging assignment for sure. Sullivan has never given an interview about his work.
Christine hopes to catch Sullivan while he is studying the migration of the gray whales. After that, he’ll most likely slip into seclusion at his bungalow near the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. Christine combs the southern coast of Washington to find him, and when she does, she works to convince Sullivan to let her follow him during the study.
But their prickly relationship develops into something more intense when Christine gets caught for five days in Joel’s small bungalow during a Northwest gale.
