About the Book

Chemistry is the central and essential science that can be defined as a science of atoms and molecules or reactions of different kinds of matter or inner beauty of molecular world.

Chemistry is everywhere. The life on this planet critically depends upon the science of chemistry. Chemistry is encountered at each and every step of the life without feeling its presence. The benefits it can offer are tremendous; better chemistry better living.

This book is a kind of "chemical educational novel" or a tale based on the classroom experiment and written to educate the general public, and especially the students of chemistry, through the events surrounding a fictitious student Mercury in one day of her life. It briefly explains various common chemistry concepts in a simple language without going into details of chemistry, so that a common person without any chemistry background can comprehend and recognize the service of chemistry to mankind.

To supplement the concepts in chemistry "What is Chemistry" is described in Introduction. Further, to enhance the reader's curiosity "A Brief History of Chemistry" and "Frontiers in Chemistry" are appended. Few research articles are also appended to shed a light on few concepts for those who are interested in research.
