About the Book

On the surface, Chrysanthemum Adams appears to have it all, wealth, a beautiful home and a successful husband. However, underneath the glamorous façade, Chris' life is far from perfect. Her marriage is in shambles due to her husband's constant philandering. Other than luncheon dates with her best friend Beverly, she practically lives her life in solitude.

However, it is not until she visits a strange doctor for a nagging backache does her life take an unexpected turn. Suddenly, strange things begin to happen, Chris finds impossible to explain, and she discovers a family secret that threatens to unravel her world or ultimately save it.

Picking Chrysanthemum is the story of personal growth and triumph. It is the story of how one woman breaks the chains of ordinary life and dares to live life on her terms.

About the Author

Originally from Seattle, Washington, P. L. Hampton, has finally released his first novel Picking Chrysanthemum.

Currently a professor teaching Economics and Finance in Minnesota, he received his B.A. in Economics from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, and his M.B.A. in International Management from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is currently living, along with his wife and two children, in Minneapolis.
