About the Author

Ohene Aku Kwapong came to MIT from Africa at the age of 19. He earned an MS and MBA from MIT, and a PhD from Columbia University. He has counseled many applicants, including his niece Miriam Okine, who got admitted to 8 top universities, including Wellesley College. He works at Microsoft and resides in Seattle.
