About the Author

Mimi Paul (1959-2001) was a gifted artist who gave and continues to give voice to people in struggle, as she struggled. Fluent in French and Italian, Mimi received her BA degree in Comparative Literature from Stanford University. Prior to graduating from Stanford, she taught English as a second language and introductory French. Professionally Mimi worked as an executive secretary, copy editor, technical writer, and systems analyst. She loved to harmonize in song and in spirit.
