About the Book
A middle class Jewish woman and a light-skinned Harlem-born Black man meet while both are working on an Off-Broadway play. Although they come from very different backgrounds they are irresistibly drawn to each other.
But can their relationship endure the competition, bigotry and racism so present in the show business world of the 60's and 70's?
About the Author
Lenore DeKoven has had a long and varied background as an actor, director and producer in theatre, film and television on both coasts. She was a grantee of the American Film Institute?s Directing Workshop for Women and is a member of the Directors Guild of America. She was the first woman ever to direct Another World and Texas for NBCTV. She has been on the faculties of UCLA and New York University and is currently an Associate Professor at Columbia University where she where she teaches Directing Actors in the Graduate Film Division.
