About the Book

Donna Fitzpatrick grew up in the small town of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. While working as a clerk at the Berkshire knitting mills, she married the junior partner of the company.

After a loveless and abusive marriage, an affair that almost turned tragic and a futile search for her perfect lover, she returned home. Meanwhile, she had lost her mother and felt she had no confidant.

During her time at home, life took one bad turn after another. The most devastating was the loss of her father.

She had one remaining hope, her best friend in Virginia. Soon after moving to Virginia, she knew she had finally found a place to call home. Her life with her new husband, Connell, and daughter, Andrea, atoned for her lonely past.

Donna now sits at the window in her beautiful mountain home, at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. She watches her precious Andrea in the meadow playing with her children. She knows now that her life before Connell was one long search for the wrong kind of happiness.

L. Dawn Adams is a retired housewife and mother, still living in the beautiful Stone Hills where she was born and raised, about thirty miles outside of Philadelphia, Pa. She now caters to a house full of cats and has a passion for gardening and writing novels.
