About the Book

Hardy Jackson is nothing more than a small town lawyer whose father served in World War II—that is until his father, Jabo, passes away. Hardy stumbles upon an old army footlocker in his father’s attic, and inside, he finds remnants of a world long gone: relics from Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest compounds, kept secret for fifty years. The relic is an unexpected Pandora’s Box. To open it is to reopen one of the darkest eras in the history of the world, which forces Hardy to not only face his own shortcomings, but to confront vestiges of tyranny thought long extinct. The worst of it? Hardy discovers the Fuhrer Document, key to a modern Neo-Nazi plot to establish a Fourth Reich. Due to a few inept moves on Hardy’s part, he soon exposes his identity to the Neo-Nazi plotters. He is a marked man, hunted not only by the Neo-Nazis but also by the federal government. In order to survive, he joins forces with an Office of Special Investigations agent. Together, they must hunt down the mysterious figure, code-named “Raven,” clear Hardy’s family name, and stop Hitler’s dedicated followers before it’s too late.

About the Author

Jerry Barksdale is a retired trial lawyer who lives in Athens, Alabama. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Barksdale is a local newspaper columnist and serves on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Veterans Museum & Archives. He is the author of When Duty Called, Duty, Cornbread Chronicles, and Revolutionaries and Rebels.
