About the Book
I wrote my book out of pure frustration of raising a child with special needs and trying to find other books by mothers going through the same thing. As I searched in my local book stores there were many books about my child's diagnosis all written by doctors who frankly can talk about what it is like but do not actually live with the frustration of raising a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder all wrapped into one. As blunt as this may sound; imagine an alcoholic trying to get help from somebody who has never taken a drink, Pretty unlikely! Because in order to really help, you need to hear from a person who has actually fought the battle. I understand why moms have not come out and spoke about the issues in my book. Pure and simple it is shame and confusion. I have well surpassed that point in my child's treatment. I have written this book with passion, truthfulness and concern.
