About the Book

Queenie tells the story of a young boy nearing his teens, thriving in the wholesome natural world of a farm and reared in goodness and truth of a loving family. They move to town and he matures in a culture requiring inner strength to face and learn from the conflicts of social relationships.

The events in and out of school, normal in the lives of his friends, awaken his search for deeper personal meaning. Earning money for college sustains the course of everyday existence also provides the way to mature as an adult.

About the Author

Glenn Pedersen, PhD, retired from a career as Professor of English, shares biographical experience in fictional form to express the evolution of a teenage psyche, melding interior and exterior worlds to become adult. Currently he enjoys following the education of a grandniece and three grandnephews.
