About the Author

Song of the Caiman is written by Jorge Salt known as Waganché which translates to Red Tail Snapper in his Native American tongue of the Caribbean, in conjunction with his father Sergio Luis known as Taxís (morning sunlight) whom has been his mentor and teacher since his early childhood. Jorge has been a great inspiration to his children, family, and tribe in his struggle to preserve, embrace, and promote his ancestral way of life. He was born in the island of Cuba and lives in Miami, Florida. Song of the Caiman was written in order to recover the oral ancient wisdom of the original ancient Caribbean?s and demonstrate its relevance to us today. A profound philosophy that have the power to transform life into an exploration of consciousness.
