About the Author

Steve Frye was born in 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas, where he spent most of his childhood. At nineteen, he joined the Air Force at the height of the Vietnam War. In the military, he was a bomb disposal technician for eighteen years after spending his first two years working on nuclear weapons. He spent four years stationed in Turkey, six years in Germany, four in San Antonio and six at other bases throughout the United States. Retiring from the Air Force in 1986, he returned to college and eventually became a registered nurse specializing in emergency care. Mr. Frye now resides in Montana with his wife Bobby.
