This book reveals one theory why dramatic increases in crime, violence, teen pregnancies, and many other inhibitors plague our inner cities. It addresses the problems of absentee fathers in urban communities, and the effects it has on a large population of our middle school children. Within the pages of this book strategies are outlined that will help encourage our children to be positive, hopeful, and persevere in order to face future challenges.
About the Author
Dr. Cornelius Howard Evans, a native of Miami, Florida, migrated to Newark, New Jersey in the 1950?s where he was educated in the Newark public school system. After nineteen years of service as an elementary school teacher, Dr. Evans currently resides as a Middle School Coordinator for the Newark Board of Education. In addition, he is Pastor of Smith Memorial COGIC, and President of Jacqueline Spencer Memorial Counseling Center located in Newark, NJ. Recently, he completed his Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from South Florida Bible College and a PhD in Philosophy at Trinity Theological Seminary in 2000.
