About the Author

Dr. Bruce Conn, a research biologist, professor, and writer, has written more than 200 publications, including a textbook that was awarded national honors by the Association of American Publishers. He has lectured and conducted research around the world, served on scientific editorial boards, served as president of two international scientific organizations, and taught at several universities and colleges.
