About the Book

Meet Cairo Banks, defender of Banks Cay, a rugged little Florida island that a whole bunch of folks are willing to kill for.

He's back home from doing God-knows-what as a diplomatic hit man for the United States Security Service. He's been trying to be a simple shopkeeper, a good husband to his saltwater rock and roller wife, and a good father to two enterprising daughters with his penchant for risk and adventure. And he has enjoyed being the son of his salty-tongued cracker momma who has protected their bucolic little island home with a will stronger than a well rope.

About the Author

David Neal Benson is a son of old Florida and he remembers her before they started pouring the concrete. He and Diane, his wife of thirty-two years, herself raised in the piney woods of rural north Florida, live above the dunes near Saint Augustine where he is completing the next Banks Cay novel called Jumbo Shrimp.
