Author Kris McGuckin draws on a lifetime of experiences with the Forty Niners to relate both the musical and social aspects of this unusually close knit organization. Her use of pictures and personal recollections help make this journey a delight.

Kristin Jensen McGuckin (B.S. Music Ed; M.A. Music Therapy) has been associated with the Forty Niners Chorus since 1958 when her mother joined the group. From 1974?present, Kris has served as an instrumentalist, singer and director.

Kris and her husband, John, a bass in the chorus, live in Downingtown. They have two children.
