About the Author

Jack and Marion Johnston each had a career. Jack as a DJ in Seattle in the 60?s under the name of J.J. Valley at KJR, KOL and KVI, and Marion retiring in the fall of 1995 as the presiding court reporter for Lane County. From then until the middle of November 2004 they were either preparing for or on missions for their church. They have a son and a daughter, eight grand children, two great grand children and since 1972 when Jack left KSTP Radio in Minneapolis-St. Paul have made their home in Eugene, Oregon.
