About the Book
In actuality, this book is written for the general public as well as the drinking water suppliers and professionals. However, It will also serve as research tool to water drinking water quality students, engineers, and instructors, nurses, and hospital care professionals. This book will also help water and wastewater treatment facilities who are concerned about chemicals in their water. The book is well organized to contain all and beyond, the USEPA lists of microbes, inorganic chemicals, organic chemicals, and radioactivity required to be tested by the water suppliers, who must report the test results to their customers annually in the Annual Water Quality Report (AWQR) or Consumer Confident Report (CCR).
Several commercially popular bottled drinking waters were analyzed for the presence of contaminants. The results are discussed in the text.
About the Author
Brief Biography
Dr. Patrick Jerry Udeh is an expert in water treatment, water quality analysis, interpretation, and modeling in the distribution systems. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and Master Degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University with emphasis in Water treatment, water quality technology, and modeling. He is currently employed with Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Waterworks, and Sewer Maintenance Division and Engineering Unit. He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Waterworks Associations, and a member of Citrus College Water Technology Advisory Board.
Dr. Udeh has conducted many researches on drinking water related projects and has written and published articles in same area.
