About the Book

Through his richly expressed, deeply personal writings John T.Vicknair shares what is closest to his heart: the love of God, family, nature, and a quiet reverence for everyday life. In this complex world Vicknair reaffirms the things that are truly important in life: faith, hope, and love. John states that one of the most difficult things in life is relinquishing all control to God. "I have wondered many times what the Lord's plan for my life is, but then I am reminded that we must remember He knows what is best for us and we should trust in Him with all our heart, soul, and might." We should take each step with Him with confidence that we will reach our destination and achieve our goal.

His poems are written in hopes that they may touch other's lives along the way. It is with much appreciation of the Lord's protective hands that he endeavors this task of writing. With these beliefs, he has strived to put into words the inner most thoughts of his heart.

One of the most difficult things in life is relinquishing all control to God. We don?t know what is in store for us and at times we may be fearful of the unknown.

I am reminded that we must remember He knows what is best for us and we should trust in Him with all our heart, soul, and might. We should take each step with Him with confidence that we will reach our destination and achieve our goal. There are reasons God lets us struggle and there are lessons to learn through our lives.

I can look back through my life and realize how the Lord has guided my every step. My poems are written in hopes that they may touch others lives along the way. It is with much appreciation of the Lords protective hands that I endeavor this task of writing. With these beliefs, I have strived to put into words the inner most thoughts of my heart.
