Are you concerned about your job? Concerned about losing it? Concerned about not being able to do anything about it? Are you concerned there’s nothing you can do to actually make a difference in the workplace? Have you been recently negatively affected at your job? Are you having difficulty finding another? Are you concerned about how you’ll be repositioned in the workplace?
In 2004, my answer was yes to many of these questions and by 2006, yes to all of them. Through Conscious Behavior in the workplace I’ve since reversed this to a resounding no across the board. Not only that, I’ve become relevant; a “go to” person delivering results for the common good of the company. Teammates are drawn to me, opinions are requested of me and people listen to what I have to say. Toxic negative behavior is a thing of the past. I’ve been recognized financially too. This is because relevance in the workplace fosters trust; trust as in trusted to deliver results. Trust fosters cost efficient and quick delivery which is the goal of every company.
C.A.R.E. – building a better workplace starts with you! will show you how to deliver the results that will achieve these benefits, how to become relevant at work and why your relevance at work (both inside and outside of your job description) will make a huge difference to the success of your company.
I share observations, case studies and lessons learned throughout my career which began in 1973. It’s clear to me if I knew then what I know now, there’s no telling the limits of my accomplishments. It’s also clear to me what I know now provides the opportunity to achieve unlimited results from this day on.
The results have been eye opening, providing success and recognition to my teammates and great benefits to my company. I’ve since developed a C.A.R.E. certification training program so others can share in the success. The benefits of becoming C.A.R.E. certified have changed my life for the better.
C.A.R.E. – building a better workplace starts with you! provides observations, lessons learned, and behavior examples (since 1973) describing what C.A.R.E. is—and what it is not. I can’t guarantee that you’ll find my observations and case studies interesting. I can’t guarantee that you’ll agree with my needed and recommended training. But I can guarantee that when C.A.R.E. becomes your motive in the workplace, your career will benefit. Teammates will be drawn to you; you will become a go to person, and your results will not be tainted due to bullying, politics, or personal agenda. You will be relevant!
Everything I say in this book is based on real events and real people, not on theories, nor on third party research on corporate behavior. Everything is based on day-to-day interaction throughout my career. There’s no doubt that once you become C.A.R.E. certified, your career will blossom and your company will recognize that you are relevant to its success.
I’ve received great insight from my career, and great inspiration from five mentors on how to have the courage to question everything. To question not as a post-game expert, not from hindsight, not as a soothsayer, but as a relevant teammate.
C.A.R.E. certification works!
