Meet Ariyah Xavier who is in love with Zachary Lyfe. As the two practically grow up together in love, and in life, they experience the natural emotions of teenage love. As jealously begins to reveal itself, abuse makes its way into the relationship.

Ariyah becomes Mrs. Ariyah Lyfe and all of a sudden, all promises that were made have been broken. Ariyah discovers betrayal, lies, money, and drugs.

In her search for peace of mind, she embraces her poetic gift by visiting various poetry clubs, by the advice of her doctor. There she meets real life poets such as Rae, Se7en, Punkin from Pluto, Meen Joe Swanson, Honey, Deep Blue See, and Jala.

When Ariyah has had enough, she begins to think with her mind, and not with her heart. Her blue print to leave Zachary is masterminded, and funded by Zachary himself. The twist comes when Zachary's "Lyfe" is revealed through poetry by an unsuspecting Poet.

About the Author

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Rae-Shell D. Fletcher was in the top ten percent of Nimitz High School’s 1995 graduating class. Winning number one in the nation in history fair group performance would introduce her to her hidden love for the stage. Having earned other awards, such as homecoming queen two years in a row, Rae-Shell continued her winning streak of numerous victories, leadership, and involvement at Prairie View A&M University. Being section leader in Prairie View’s Marching Storm Band, and member of The Campus Activities Board, would only continue to fuel and nourish her leadership qualities. Rae-Shell, with a B.B.A. in Management from Prairie View A&M University, and an A.A.S Degree in Business Specializing in Cosmetology from North Harris County College, has more than 18 years experience in leadership, and over 14 years experience in management and skills. This bonifide class of 2000 panther, and award winning stylist, owner of Front Cover Hair Salon, and a member of an elite group of stylist called Team Hollywood. She is also a member of a charitable organization known as The Order of The Eastern Star and a faithful member of Brookhollow Baptist Church, The Church Without Walls. Known as Rae to the poetic nation, Rae-Shell’s poetic style paralleled with her stage presence is as real as God has blessed her to be. Her heart-felt poems are nothing short of inspirational. Rae has performed at a number of Houston’s poetry lounges, opened for artist such as Biz-Markie & Common, featured at special shows such as Prairie View A&M 2007 Homecoming Poetry Showcase, and participated in several shows promoting awareness of domestic abuse and violence. In 2007, Rae-Shell released her first novel entitles “Poetry is My Lyfe, Revenge is My Mission”. Her purpose for this fiction novel, creatively combined with poetry, is not only to tell a story but to address issues concerning women who are in abusive relationships, and how to overcome certain hardships and issues. The Novel nurtured the inspiration for a stage play which has graced 7 stages in the south! Its tremendous response has motivated her to film her first movie: “Lyfe’s Poetic Revenge”.
