Who Is She?

Who is she? I am a combination of two generations fifty percent of my mother fifty percent of my father biologically My genes are the perfect split of the two of them but I am my own individual similar to the both of them but Nothing like either of them. Tender heart and looks just like my mother Laughs to share, humor just like my father I am their daughter Serious and stern when I need to be like mom More like dad when I’m chill and relaxed I’m just like my parents but somehow I am nothing like either of them at the same time Who am I? I’ve never struggled with my identity I just never fit in I was too “white” for the black kids, too “black” for the white kids I was told I was stuck up because I carry myself as if I am royalty because mom and dad raised me and always told me I am a princess and I believe them. I was told I was too shy because I sit back and observe and speak when I want to be heard I was told this and that but why should I care about others opinions? People will always have something to say, think something of me despite what I know about myself A real life princess walking in the flesh
