About the Book

A dog named Chewy and his wife, Lucy, have a newborn puppy named Pew. When a scorpion stings Pew one night, Chewy and Lucy know they need to take him to see a doctor right away. But the doctor won’t treat Pew because his family has no money. What will Chewy do? Because he is a bone digger, he goes to the graveyard and digs, hoping to find a bone to sell. When he finds a large shiny bone, he believes his troubles are over—but they have only just begun. The discovery seems to bring Chewy and Lucy nothing but bad luck. Can these two parents find a way to heal their son and restore their family? Only time will tell! In this children’s story, two poor canine parents search for a way to save their son, who has been stung by a scorpion.

About the Author

Adonai Pearson was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and grew up with an intense thirst for knowledge. He currently studies engineering at Mt. San Antonio College in California.
