About the Author

Reveral L. Yeargin was born in Greenville, South Carolina to late Horace Yeargin, Sr., and Naomi Yeargin. Reveral spent his early years working alongside his father in construction and has continue in the same profession for the last 35 years. He was inspired to write poetic material to leave a legacy to the next generation. Reveral Yeargin has pursued a career in politics and was elected in October 1996 to serve his community in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, as a Council member for Ward III. The City Council had the confidence in his ability to lead them as the Council President for the last three years. Reveral is a student in the political arena through Maryland Municipal League and National League of Cities, which has achieved the Diamond Level. He was the Region III Director in 1999 of the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials. Council member Yeargin aspired higher office and had become a candidate for County Council for District 7. Reveral Yeargin was ordained as an Elder on May 31, 2014 at the Berean Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., under the leadership of Pastor Devoris Szalkowski, Associate Pastor. Reveral has published his first book “A Beacon of Hope” 2012, and second book “Love me Like you Loved Them” 2019.
