About the Book

These are my poems written with love, laughter, and a few tears. They were inspired by everyday life, and they all came from my heart.

About the Author

My name is Lawrence Sicurella. I am sixty four years old . I currently live in Cheektowaga New York, a suburb of Buffalo.I am retired after working thirty one years for Erie County. I have two boys, ages thirty one and thirty six, a daughter in law, two beautiful grandchildren, my girlfriend Mary Beth, and our yellow lab Charlie.I enjoy writing poems, playing drums, swimming, jogging and watching our local sport teams, the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres. I’ve ran twenty five full marathons in different states. I have been involved with Camp Good Days and Special Times for 27 yrs. I have been a councilor, for the most part. This is a camp started by Gary Mervis for children stricken with cancer. This is what inspires me. The poems I write are from my heart. I get lost in my poems, though Mary Beth says I get lost walking down the street .Needless to say my life has been rich and rewarding .I’ve truly been blessed and I hope I can give a little bit back with my book of poetry.
