About the Book

Lucy Lawerence is a beautiful and talented singer and composer and has been called a prodigy from an early age. She has a friend, Gracie Romani, whom she has known since the first grade. Gracie has had a rough life living with parents who are too busy with their business to pay any attention to her. She clings to Lucy's family, enjoying the love and friendship. After a tragedy in the Romani family, Gracie is invited to stay with Lucy. Lucy's music teacher secretly invites the scouts from the Juilliard school of music to listen to Lucy and her prodigy friend, Lewis. They are so impressed they offer them both a scholarship. Now the fun begins when both girls move to New York City.

About the Author

JL has written three novels and one children's story. The children's story came about through a phone call from Grandson's second grade teacher who wanted JL to participate in their mystery reader program. With that information JL decided to write a story instead of reading one from the school library. After finishing the story 'The blue and purple egg a little girl stood up and said you should have this published. JL did have it published and now reads the book to as many children as possible. JL continues to live in Wisconsin writing books with the the mid-west family values. JL also enjoys dog Boo, who sits on the bed when writing and cat Nugget, who sits behind JL while typing.
