About the Book

China is at war with America. A teenager came to America. Enthralled by the freedoms enjoyed by the people, he dreamed of transforming his enslaved homeland into a democratic nation. This memoir traces the boy's American journey into old age. After retirement from actuarial consulting, Jay and wife Helen spent two decades in advocacy. They urged Washington and Taipei to implement critical measures to preserve Taiwan's hard-won freedom. Jay Loo asserts that expansionist China poses an existential threat to the U.S. homeland. In trade, the media and cyber-space China is already eroding U.S. interests and security. China is preparing for a total war against the United States, including space warfare and potentially a nuclear Pearl Harbor. To avoid Armageddon or subjugation, America must wake up and mobilize all her national resources in time. The first section of the book includes an autobiography. The second section includes a speech summarizing the author's concerns regarding U.S. national security and essays published in the Taipei Times from 2013 to 2018. The third section documents Jay and Helen's grassroots diplomacy from 1997 to 2012. This journal is a continuation of Jay's memoir.
