Before conquering schizophrenia, it is vital to understand the relationship of the disease to the concept known as “reality.” Understanding this vital relationship is primary to conquering schizophrenia. What follows is my best attempt to detail the schizophrenic experience and how it relates to the greater reality. The information is meant to salvage lives. It is a genuine offering of how to survive and thrive with schizophrenia. The information is intended for both those who have schizophrenia and also for those who clinically treat them. I must forewarn, however, that the offering is not inherently simplistic. I had to address the need for certain parameters before delving into life with schizophrenia. Now that I have established these parameters we move onto conquering schizophrenia.

About the Author
Francis was diagnosed with schizophrenia circa 1995. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 1993 and his Master of Social Work in 2006. Francis has been practicing as a talk-therapist for over a decade. His current professional status is that of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Based on his personal experience with schizophrenia as combined with his clinical acumen, Francis offers a rare perspective on successfully overcoming mental illness. In On Conquering Schizophrenia, Francis offers a breakthrough paradigm in the conceptualization of schizophrenia and in promotion of efficacious psychiatric recovery. Francis continues to experience issues with psychosis but he also continues to gainfully engage undeterred in all his chosen life realms.
