Lotta Wiik-Lambert looks back at a lifetime of adventures, beginning in 1985, in this collection of stories that reveal the thrills—and dangers—of being a world traveler. Often joined by close friends and family, she traveled the seven continents, including several trips to Europe and Russia, where she dined on caviar, wine, and delectable food she’d remember for a lifetime. But not everything always went smoothly: In Leningrad, she and her first husband, Einar, had to wait two hours before they could drive their car off a ship. Lined up behind a Volvo with dogs sniffing for all kinds of things, they thought their turn would be easy … but they’d find out differently. In New Zealand, Australia, Tahiti, and Bora Bora, she enjoyed white water rafting and watching colorful birds running up and down aluminum roofs. On a trip to the Himalayas, India, Thailand, and Hong Kong, she was amazed by the variety of cobras, vipers, and boas. It was a special treat visiting a teak factory where children in their early teens hand-carved teak wood. About the Author

Lotta Wiik-Lambert came to the United States in 1957 for a one-year stay as a nanny before marrying a Norwegian in 1959. She was married more than forty years before her husband died. In 2005, she remarried a Swedish-American who loved traveling. She has always enjoyed traveling the world. Lotta currently lives in Escondido, California
