That battle starts in the mind. Resist the devil, and he will flee. Resist by getting up. Occupy your mind with something else, start praying, start singing, or call a friend. Start trusting and believing that, yes, you deserve better—better than temporary false fixes provided by temptation’s lies. 'Dream Killer' This is an ever-evolving world. Always remember to have fun and enjoy your life. Do not let your dreams be killed, and do not become a dream killer. Just as you change, other people change too. Friends, family, and others will come and go. Be who you are designed to be. As you are finding your unique self, the person God created you to be, remember to let other people be who God created them to be. Do not judge and do not falsely accuse. We all have our shortcomings. Just as you would want someone to encourage you to be better with love and kind words, remember to be an encourager. Please—I beg of you—rise above the situations you have encountered or will encounter. Walk toward your prosperous destiny. Don’t let the enemy steal another moment of your joy. Claim your victory. Declare it and speak it: I will remain the head and not the tail! I will remain above and not beneath! I will always purposely rise above challenging situations! I will not let the enemy steal another second of my joy! This is the day the Lord has made for me. I will rejoice and be glad in every second of it! I am more than a conqueror. I am a victorious winner!

She is the biological mother of three children—Brian, Kenneth, and Kimberly—but has stood in the gap and served as mom and mentor to many. At her place of worship, she serves as first lady, minister, Sunday school teacher, and youth director, and she loves singing for the Lord.
