This child is consistently told hard work will bring good things. The character follows that great advice but is sad when a leukemia diagnosis prevents school attendance. But in the end, Brawney comes through and restores the student’s faith in people and the world. Brawney and Me, a gender- and race-neutral book for children, offers an inspiring story that leads kids to explore their own beliefs and thoughts.

About the Author

David R. Fowley enjoyed many years as an educator at multiple levels and carrying multiple college degrees. Now he has published his first children’s book, written with simple sentences and direct themes which can be discussed by nurturing parents with their young children or read and comprehended by children themselves.
