Now that we are in Christ Jesus, we have the opportunity to truly know and reconnect with God who has loved us since the beginning of time. Before we came to Jesus, God being a holy God, could not tolerate our sins. Because Jesus sacrificed his life for us over two thousand years ago by dying for our sins on the cross, the blood he shed covers our sins so that our relationship with God is no longer estranged. Now, our sins have all been forgiven, and God sees us through the blood of His Son. We can make a new start as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Due to guilt and the pressures of life, many of us do not truly think that our sins have been forgiven. Therefore, as Christians, we need to know who we really are “in Christ Jesus”, and that in God’s eyes, we are more than “filthy rags”. As Christians, We have a “pick the daisy” (“He loves me, He loves me not”) view of who God is, and who we are in Him. The Devil has deceived us into thinking that we can never live up to God’s standards of holiness and righteousness and that we will always be second best in His eyes. If we are to live out the plan that God has devised for us with complete confidence that we are who He says we are, and that we can do all that He says we can do, we will need to know our true identity and the inheritance that is ours when we are “in Christ Jesus.” It is time to come out of the dungeons of our own minds and change our traditionalist thinking patterns about the reality of our relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ our Savior, and God the Holy Spirit

About the Book
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the goal of the author is to impart wisdom and knowledge specifically designed to assist new Christians to know where they fit and who they are in the Body of Christ. The purpose of In Christ Jesus: Tell My People Who They Are is to boost the spiritual awareness of those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior and are now members of Christ’s Body. The information that the author provides is designed to be simple yet powerful. It will also remind Christians who have been walking with Jesus for a long time that they are more than the filthy rags that the world says they are. In fact, they are now “more than conquers through Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:37). As Christians, we are who God says we are!

Jean Jones is a Christian author and retired college/public school librarian with a Masters Degree in Library Science from Atlanta University. She is also the author of: It's Praying Time, and God's Whole Armor: A Manual of Spiritual Warfare. Jean, who is married and has two adult children and one grand-daughter, lives in Jacksonville, Florida.
