DWELLERS ON THE FRINGE! There seems so little comfort in movement toward the fringe. Indeed, mere mention of it makes the staid mind come unhinged. Talk of our shared reality as being dubious, inspires in the status quo the ultimate mistrust. To question all our certainties, the only chance there is to live a life authentically: from True-self one must live. For life unto the hypnotized is little but the rules, from human death to gravity; oh, how we have been fooled! But did you realize that we create all that we see? There is not one thing set in stone; only what we believe! The charge of the Fringe-dweller is to break reality into the grand illusions we accept the truth to be. Who are these curious Dwellers; the ones of whom I speak? Indeed, you may find some contented living on the street. So graduated from the norm, seems they have given up. The critic’s eye will judge, then say, “Poor Soul, so out of luck!” The wise will think more deeply knowing freedom in most forms, takes sacrificing comfort-zone in movement past the norm. Through challenging the boundaries we are taught to obey, life takes on brand new meaning in the most profound of ways. Some use the term of “genius” when attempting to describe an act or thought of brilliance, leaving commonplace behind. At least for one brief moment, daring genius must let go of some idea or notion that upon it was imposed. This act of letting go ignites an empty space within the womb of all potential where Creations quest begins. The very Heart of Source indwells in this most Sacred place. All that can be conceived and more rests here in state of Grace. Then genius gives the emptiness inside some time to form. When opened to the Light of day a brand new thing is born! To move all possibility beyond the tried-and-true takes trust, and far more courage than does living by the “rules.” Would be the bold Fringe-Dweller in whose genius is exposed the path to self-discovery where boundaries implode, where living from the Higher Self : the new reality, where freedom’s song is anchored in a new humanity!

This book is intended to assist in the unraveling of a greater truth regarding the reality we share, and how the unseen aspects of that truth impacts our experiences, both individually and collectively. Within each poem is a gentle reassurance that each of us possesses the capacity to create the kind of world we can each share in joy, trust, respect, and love.
About the Author
BrennEl Hornsby, M.A., L.P.C., M.A.C., is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and spent twenty-five plus years as a licensed mental health and addiction clinician. The task of therapeutically assisting others in unraveling the distortions in their own realities, as well as in the mass reality we all take part in co-creating, brought about profound revelations in the minds and hearts of her clients, as well as herself. One of those revelations identifies the perceptive, deeply sensitive, and socially marginalized to be the first to identify the myriad distortions of our reality, and most always the first to attempt to move towards resolving them. She is the mother of one adult son, and is currently enjoying her first desert-living experience while wondering what took so long for her to get there.
