I love you and I’m not going to lose you Deb.” “Leon and Allan loved me too and look what happened to them,” she sadly said. “Stop it, just stop thinking about what happened to Leon and Allan,” he replied with a raised tone of voice walking over and stood in front of her. “You have a new life now, a better life. And if I have to take you out of here by force I will. There is no way I’m going to let Brian lay another hand on you,” he adamantly told her. “Sam, you can’t do that and expect me to be happy about it,” she told him. “What, are you happier here with Brian beating you almost every day for no reason?” “Don’t you dare ask me that,” she was angry. “What am I supposed to think Deb? You won’t leave here knowing that Brian will come and beat you because he can. Remember, I was here that night after he beat you so bad that he left his shoe prints on your back and you could hardly move. How much more would he have done to you if I hadn’t have come back? Deb, I said I love you and I don’t want you to be in anymore pain because of him.” “This wasn’t supposed to happen. I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with you and you weren’t supposed to fall in love with me.” “But it did happen and I’m not sorry it did.” “I’m not sorry either Sam, but with you loving me your life is in danger now too. You know that I don’t know if I’ll be safe again.” “Yes you told me that and I told you that whatever should happen, Deb we’ll face it together,” he told her with a firm determined tone. “Sam, I don’t want anything to happen to you.” “Nothing is going to happen to me Deb,” he replied and they looked into each other’s eyes and the faces started getting closer and closer until their lips met and they were lost in a loving passionate kiss. “Sam, make love to me,” she said. Her voice was but a murmur and they passionately kissed and he took her hand and they walked to the bedroom and again started kissing as they undressed one another. Once naked they lay on the bed and got lost in a heated passion. “Sam, please don’t hurt me.” Her voice was but a whisper. The passion they were felling was more than they had ever imagined.

Born and raised in New York, Debbie Lyon Meads is sixteen years old when two drug dealers began to have their way with her. In order to protect her, her brother, Leon, kills the dealers and is sentenced to life imprisonment. Desperate to escape, she marries an older friend, Allan, and flees the city. With his and Jospehine’s marriage on the rocks, he sees in Debbie a second chance at true love. Meanwhile, a man named Brian Tyes tracks her down; it seems he’s the other brother of the two drug dealers her own brother killed years ago, and now he’s out for revenge. What’s more, Debbie has also become the target of Tanya Tamms, a jealous woman from Samuel’s past. Only time will tell whether Debbie can navigate these dangerous waters safely. B. James, a native of New Jersey, moved to Rome, Italy, as a young adult. There, she met and married her husband and had a son. A cancer survivor with a lifelong love of literature, she began writing novels when faced with limited mobility. She currently lives in Derwood, Maryland.
