About the Book

The second youngest of eleven children, author Joel J. Clemente faced many challenges and dealt with the varied and strong personalities of his siblings. He also had to live up to the expectations of others to complete at least four years of college. In The Story of a Prudent Nurse, Clemente tells a story of his life starting from his college education, to being a registered nurse and volunteer.

Through previously published commentaries, essays, testimonials, features, poetry, and recognitions, it offers insight into Clemente as a person and man for others. This memoir also narrates the success of the author and his family in making their American dream come true after years of hardships and struggles. He offers his most important attributes for success in life, including perseverance and never giving up.

The Story of a Prudent Nurse shares stories of Clemente’s experiences and lessons in life that make him a radical and unique individual in loving service to God and others.

About the Author

Joel J. Clemente, “Jong” to his family and friends, earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Ateneo De Zamboanga University and a master of arts in nursing degree title from Manila Central University, Philippines. He has been a registered nurse since March of 1991 and a freelance writer for thirty-one years. Clemente lives with his wife, May, and their daughter, Krysha in McKinney, Texas.
