Tom could hear crying coming from the nursery. It sounded like Donnie was awake. Tom walked through the living room, finding Brenda asleep in the rocker with Dillon on her chest. He stopped for a moment to look at the two of them lying there, so peacefull. What a precious sight to see mother and son. Donnie’s cries grew stronger and Tom hurried off into the next room to collect his son. When Tom entered the nursery he was filled with panic as he observed a scarf wrapped around Donnie’s neck. He scooped up the child and freed him from the scarf. It was the scarf Brenda wore that morning to the hospital. How did it get into Donnie’s crib? Brenda hadn’t come anywhere near the nursery since they arrived home. Or had she?

About the Book
Following a miscarriage at Christmas, Tom and Brenda’s lives change forever. Their marriage becomes strained. Brenda, dealing with deep-seated darkness and sorrow—and the knowledge she will never be able to have children—becomes depressed and cruel. Tom doesn’t know if their marriage can survive the loss, but then, they get a blessed second chance. Twins are born, and Brenda and Tom have the opportunity to adopt. They welcome infants Dillon and Donnie into their home. Tom is happy to see his wife so connected to little Dillon, but she seems distant from Donnie. She despises her own, innocent child. When Donnie dies from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Tom grows suspicious. Still haunted by her miscarriage, Brenda no longer suppresses the evil thoughts and feelings she has buried deep inside. She finds comfort in blood and murder, but soon, her lethal deeds are discovered. She races to eliminate those who mean to expose her crimes. Nobody is safe, not even Tom, as he battles the woman he once loved in an effort to save the people he cares about.
About the Author
Tami grew up in Elyria, a town 25 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed warm, summer evenings listening to Chicago albums, writing short stories and songs, on the front porch swing. Tami holds a BA in marketing and is a licensed phlebotomist and personal trainer.
