Ten Years Later Luis glances at Jesse then back at the house. Black jeeps with S.H. letters painted on the doors are parked outside. They open their doors car doors. Jesse tosses Luis an assault rifle. “We need to get through the ice.” “I know.” “Who did this?” “Sky did.” Luis passes the frozen S.H. soldiers. He kicks open the door. Gust of cold air kisses Luis. “Lil, Sky, Desiree, Zamora, where are you?” Luis passes dead bodies on the floor. Books lay scattered on the tile floor. A television sits on a stand with a soldier’s head in it. Luis continues to run down the blood covered hallway. He stops in front of a giant sphere of ice. “Sky are you in there?” Someone moves inside the ice sphere. “Dad is that you?” “Yes, my child. It’s daddy. Are your sister’s and mother in there?” “Yes. None of them are breathing. Mom is bleeding from her stomach.” Tears start to run from Luis’s eyes. He drops to his knees. Luis cries to himself. “Dad are you still there?” “I’m still here. Can you melt the ice?” “I can try.” Luis’s daughter puts a hand to the sphere. He sits quietly. The little girl’s hand ignites into flames surprising Luis. The entire front of the ice sphere melts. A girl with long black curly hair stands with her hand on fire. Her brown eyes sparkle with happiness and sadness. After the fire disappears she hugs Luis. “Sky, I want you to go outside to your grandpa.” “Okay.” Luis let’s Sky go. Sky runs down the hallway. Luis slowly walks into the ice sphere. Two short blonde girls lay on the floor with bullet holes in their heads. Lily lay on the floor with a bloody sword in her hand. A long gash runs across her baby bump. He kisses each one of his girls on the cheek. Luis takes the silver chain with his wedding ring on it from around his neck. He takes it off then takes Lily’s engagement ring and wedding ring off her finger. Luis puts them on the chain as he starts to walk outside. Jesse stands holding Sky in his arms as he sees Luis put the chain around his neck. “What are we to do Luis?” “We are going to war with our new president for killing my Zamora, Desiree, Lily, and my unborn son Rick. We will call the entire army back to base then find Power Tree. Cassie will die for this. It will be the last thing I do.” “We’ll take you to them.” Jesse turns to look at three people in armor standing in the street. “It’s good to see you,” Luis said with a week smile.
