World Peace in Three Years or Less . . . or Else!

Realists predict we are about to make us the first species to deliberately create our own extinction, anytime but likely within the next 10 years. The act of one person, a human error, or a mechanical malfunction can terminate the future of our loved ones. Our most knowledgeable futurists, over 250 of the world’s weapons experts, our history which we describe by its series of wars, multiple peace groups, direct observation, and common sense each tell us the next Great War will be fought with weapons having ultimate destructive power (WUD); it will begin and end in less than 10 minutes. We all know it but we act like it is not true. Optimists tell us there is still time to prevent the predicted unleashing our WUD that will create Armageddon. Pessimists tell us to forget our retirement program and have dessert now; it is already too late. Here’s the new story. When Einstein discovered the power of the E=mc2 formula to set off a chain reaction capable of releasing the energy of the sun, he realized that tribes will soon proliferate and use WUD unless we do one thing: “… a new way of thinking (ANWOT) is essential if mankind is to survive and move toward higher levels.” In only 75 years, WUD have made our biologic addiction to the tribal way we think a disease suddenly more dangerous than cancer, AIDs, and the Black Plague. Prevention requires urgent action. Tribal thinking has been normal and adaptive for billions of years. Our ancestors lived on separate hills and had to compete for limited resources by dominating other tribes. We are pre-wired historically and individually to be allegiant to our tribe. After birth, we are provided patriotic, religious, and political symbols that solidify tribal love. Survival of the fittest has been determined by tribal dominance. Weapons consisted of fists and teeth, sticks and stones, and arrows and bombs that prune but leave the bush to bloom with greater strength. WUD do not prune; they kill the whole bush. Tribal thinking is incompatible with our new WUD; AND WE DON’T KNOW IT! We are all born addicted to a tribal way of thinking that divides us into opposing sides, us or them, my good tribe or the “other” tribe. Unlike past “wars and cures” there is no recovery from weapons that are instantly deadly. The only sane action is prevention. Einstein told us “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” Einstein’s most important insight is that to survive and thrive we must educate ourselves in ANWOT that elevates cooperation for mutual benefits above harmful competition to assert dominance. Multiple tribes eagerly embrace Einstein’s E=mc2 formula to satisfy their love of power, but thus far all have ignored his most critical insight: WUD have changed everything except our way of thinking. We require a newer way of thinking that will set off a chain reaction that rapidly adds the power of love to the love of power. Tribal thinking asks “What works me and my tribe here and now?” Answer: The love of power. Our animal brain is hardwired with instinct and tradition to compete for dominance. ANWOT asks “What works for my tribe and your tribe for now and the future?” Answer: The power of love. Unconditional love must be added to the love of power. ANWOT elevates the capital of our intentions from our animal brain to the higher level creative puzzle-solving cortical portion of our human brain. The four qualities we want and need, Happiness, Enough, Love, and Peace [HELP] are ours if we want them enough. The simple addition of unconditional love, i.e. The Golden Rule, will add a newer way of universal thinking to tribal thinking that is sufficient to rapidly change our world. However, until we recognize our addiction to tribal thinking and take the simple actions to elevate the capital of our intentions from our animal brain to our puzzle-solving human brain, we will remain stuck in our “normal” way of tribal thinking that has suddenly become the greatest threat to our survival. To survive and thrive, we must solve the BIGGEST Puzzle: Why do we fill our world with fear, hate, scarcity, and war when we want and need Happiness, Enough, Love, and Peace [HELP]? Einstein’s ANWOT solution is the quickest, easiest, most enjoyable and effective way to solve our BIGGEST Puzzle.
